BRICKS FOR THE MONUMENT
Memorial bricks, which will be used to pave portions of the memorial are still available for purchase. The cost is $60 for the first brick and $50 for each additional. Bricks are engraved with any message of your choice (subject to certain limits). Please consider purchasing one or more bricks to honor a service member, any individual or organization of your choice, or simply to acknowledge your gift to the township memorial. Part of the proceeds from brick orders goes to the park and recreation fund to benefit Houser Park.
Donate money to purchase a brick for a veteran.
The Parks and Recreation Board Members are working to purchase bricks for all veterans interred in Jackson Township Cemeteries. The Parks and Recreation Board has ordered bricks for all the Civil War Veterans in the Alder Run and Millerton Cemeteries as well as 6 Revolutionary War Veteran, 1 War of 1812 Veteran and 1 Spanish American War Veteran. Donations can be made payable to "Jackson Township Parks and Recreation" with "GAR" written in the memo.
The Parks and Recreation Board is also looking for help compiling lists of veterans in any of the local cemetery.
Brick orders can be made at the township office, Mondays 8am to noon and Weds. noon to 4.

FOOD & BEVERAGE GLASS
ONLY (CLEAR, BROWN, GREEN)
Rinse out & separate by color. Remove All lids and rings (plastic & metal) removed.
Labels may remain on. Separate by color. Only jars and bottles.
No window pane glass, drinking glasses, plates, cookware, light bulbs, ceramics, etc.
Metal lids from glass containers may go in with the tin/bimetal cans.
Containers should be rinsed out. Lids and labels need not be removed. You may crush them for space saving.
No hard, rigid plastics, black plastics, plastic bags, Styrofoam, egg cartons, or oil containers of any kind.
Should be well rinsed, and separated from other recyclables. Labels need not be removed. If lids/bottoms are removed, place inside can and flatten. No scrap metal with cans.
ALUMINUM BEVERAGE CONTAINERS (ABC)
Completely empty & rinsed. May be flattened or whole.
Do not bundle or tie. Inserts can remain.
Includes office paper, junk mail, glossy paper, envelopes, phone books, etc. Bag shredded paper.
You may include catalogs with these.
Break down clean cardboard boxes. No macaroni, cereal, or tissue boxes.

Prior to working with a building code inspector residents must receive a site use permit from Jackson Township.
If the planned structure is less than 1000 SF and non-residential a site use permit fee of $25 will be charged.
If the structure is over 1000 SF or residential a building code permit will also be required and the site use permit fee will be waived.
